Sassoon in a nutshell

Three shapes form the craft logic of a haircut: Round, Square, Triangle. Each defines a different kind of movement and weight. By combining them I build a shape tailored to your bone structure, so the cut holds even without demanding styling.

Round

Softness and naturalness

A shape that follows the curves of the head. It removes weight, softens facial features and creates fluid, natural movement.

Square

Balance and strength

A technique that balances the natural curves of the head. It creates clean, straight lines and gives the cut stability and strong character.

Triangle

Movement and direction

A dynamic shape that directs hair weight away from the face or towards it. Ideal for a distinctive, progressive look.

Why does it matter?

These shapes are the building blocks of haircut architecture. By combining them I don't just cut hair, I build a shape based on precise geometry and individual anatomy.

The Journey

The path to the craft

Hairdressing was a clear choice since childhood, when my cousin Romana Honzírková took me backstage at salons and competitions. After school I understood that real craft begins with daily practice. For over 8 years I worked at Prague's Adams Barbershop, where I built a solid foundation in men's cutting. Gradually I moved towards the broader hairdressing craft: colour, lightening and complex haircuts.

My journey to the Sassoon method

My first encounter with Sassoon terminology came in November 2024 in Budapest, on the Creative Cut course. I found myself in an advanced class without understanding the basic terminology and methodology. I had no idea what was being asked of me, and even though I tried to copy the haircuts, it was impossible without knowing the system. That difficult moment turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to me: it pushed me to fly to London, start again from scratch with the ABC course and learn the craft in its purest, geometric form.

Sassoon Academy is not just a school. It is a space where, from the moment you open the door, you feel absolute freedom, creativity and professionalism. It is a place that teaches you to think about hair differently.

Daniel McCourt: mentor and vision

Although every instructor in London passed on a piece of their mastery, the key figure for me is Daniel McCourt. He has guided me from my first course, through individual training sessions, to this day. His visualisation, way of working and human approach were the main impulse behind my biggest professional change: leaving the world of barbershops to become a Creative Stylist.

Thanks to Daniel's guidance and regular feedback, I now design every haircut. I no longer just shorten hair; I build a shape based on precise geometry and individual anatomy.
